Montessori - Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child posterHealthy Lifestyles Initiative

Dr. Maria Montessori’s educational approach values the human spirit and the development of the whole child—physical, social, emotional, cognitive.

At Brookeside Montessori we believe in the strong relationship between learning and health. The Montessori philosophy and the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model provide the foundation for our BWell programming. At Brookeside Montessori we support children, their families, and our staff in their decision making regarding healthy choices and activities. Our Wellness Committee of staff, parents, and community members meet to plan, evaluate, and execute our Healthy Lifestyles Initiatives.

Bause Catered Events Snack Program

Healthy Snacks at Brookeside Montessori – Brookeside Montessori is happy to partner with Bause Catered Events again this year to provide healthy, locally sourced fresh fruit and vegetable snacks for our students.

The Bause Catered Events program includes education snack cards for the teachers which highlight child-friendly nutrition information, as well as history and growing information for the snack being provided that day. They will deliver these delicious and healthy classroom-portioned fresh snacks to Brookeside every other week through the school year.  Funding for this program is provided through a grant from the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation!
